Barney's Pumpkin Costume: Heidi Klum's Halloween party
For Heidi Klum’s iconic Halloween party, I was on the design and production team for Barney’s costume. I created concept sketches, then took on the lighting build once the jack-o’-lantern design was chosen. I developed a custom LED system using mesh fabric to illuminate the eyes, nose, and mouth, hand-wired four battery packs into one, and collaborated with factory workers to reinforce and sew in the lights. I also hand-cut leaves and fabric to complete the pumpkin look.
The final product with its animated glow, left a lasting impression on Heidi Klum, Mattel, and the internet.
